This is one of the last known photos of the CHS Gym. It collapsed from neglect in (circa 2010?). A large cast metal sign spanned the top front of the building for decades proclaiming "19 gymnasium 21."

No photo description available.

Ink pens made from the gym floor were made by Alan Haught (Dottie Cornell) This view is of the gym floor looking from the front entrance of the gym near the end of it's time. From the posts on either side to the outside wall were large step-like "bleachers." When the crowd stomped their feet the entire building became one massive drum that echoed all across town.

mimeographed sheet is from The CHS “Skylite” newspaper. AND with LATIN – Nice!
The GDHS and CHS student newspaper for decades was SKYLITE. (Maybe more properly The Skylite?)! It took it’s name after the large glass skylite in the ceiling of the third floor of the HS, in the middle of the auditorium.
This is the 1930 Section C Champions, who were obviously going”On to Buckhannon” for the next round! The men show are Mr. Wilson, Mr. Robinson, Mr. Edw. Scott, Mr. Heckler, Mr. D. Scott and Coach Curtis.

(Ruth Flanagan)  Thought you might like to know, my dad, Dorsey Scott, was in the center, and his brother, Edward Scott, on left just below him. My uncle Edward, was the father of Donald Eugene, or Scottie as many people knew him. He just passed after the 50 year reunion, he will be missed by many.
